I really, really want to study neuroscience.

The neat thing about neuroscience is that after all the studying & memorizing …there’s an art to it! It’s like a puzzle that some people get and others don’t. I totally think that you’d get it.

I get it. Again, I haven’t exactly dug into a human brain… but gawd, there was no challenge too large in my linguistics classes.  Sometimes you find the things that just don’t feel like work (until you have to study them for 10 years, poor Bee) because the passion overwhelms it.

Some people want to fly to the moon, others want to dive to the bottom of the ocean. I want to understand why some people taste things when they feel fabrics.

O synethesia you are my favorite thing. (You will find that a lot in my poetry, actually.)

I’ve got synesthesia for music and numbers.

Yep. I’m a total fraud. I have no idea what Star Track is about.

Made me laugh.  Lots.

I’d just gone into my favorite coffee shop, talked with the (cute) barista, and was heading out, when I took a bad step on a patch of ice.

I really did hear the Scooby-Doo “scrobble feet’ sound effect as I momentarily fought to stay up, and then pitched up in the air and backwards.  Somehow, I managed to keep my coffee upright and didn’t spill a drop.

I got up, turned towards the large windows that open the coffeeshop to the world, and bowed.

Everyone inside clapped.

I went to work.

I love this video.  This is how I remember feeling at the beginning of the shuttle program.

You know - because we’re sending people into space on a regular basis.
